King News 3rd September Juba – The Commissioner of Juba County, Eng. Emmanuel Tete Ezbon on Monday swore to uproot the land gangs that torment Jebel Lado plot owners and leave no stone unturned until the killer of the three youths in Molobur Boma faces justice.
“When the shooting started, I was here where I posted the army – during the meeting, I told them there are people roaming with guns. So, what I will do is that – I will provide you with a badge to differentiate you with grabbers,” Commissioner Tete said
“As I was still talking, the shooting started. They told me that I was a VIP and that I should leave. I said no way – my governor needs a report, and I cannot go without knowing what is happening,”
He made this remark on Monday during the burial of the late Emmanuel Kulang Marko and late Nickson Ladu Joseph, who were allegedly killed by landgrabbers on August 22, 2024.
Mr. Tete explained that when the shooting was over, and he learned that there were no causalities, he left to talk with the Chief of Staff, Santino Deng Wol, over the matter and for reinforcement.
He added that the Chief of Defence Forces, Santino Deng Wol, immediately sent Military Intelligence forces while he left to report to Governor Gen. Augustino Jadalla on what transpired.
“How did causalities come by? according to the report, there was a police operation that went there at 4:30 PM that led to the killing of those two boys. Later, I was called that there was another shooting,” Eng. Tete continued
“I told them I did not call for any police intervention – who sent them? The forces I know are MI and NSS, and how did you allow these police forces to enter, and you are the force stationed – this is an investigation point that I will give up on it.”
Eng. Tete cited that he must find out who sent and that police forces and probe properly who killed the two young men.
Mr. Tete trashed the rumors that he ordered the corpses of the deceased to remain at the incident scene until the following day, citing that whoever concocted this must provide proof.
“In my strategy, this place (land grabbers structures) will be demolished, and it will be demolished,” he affirmed.
“This is due to past mistakes, where we give tokens and don’t show people their plots. And this is something happening in Managala, Godoki, and Amadi – places have been demarcated since 2012, 2010, 2008 and no showing,”
On his part, Terekeka Couty Commissioner, Eng. George Wani urged the youth to refrain from revenge.
He highlighted the importance of unity among community leaders and residents to foster peace and unity.
The Director of Ladu Payam, Gassim Arasio condemned government officials involved in the illegal land grabs under the guise of senior government authority. He vowed that the government will dismantle “these land-grabbing gangs” and ensure that those responsible for the killing of three youths in Molobur Payam are brought to justice. An investigation into the murders is underway to ensure accountability.
