The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Augustino Jadalla Wani, officially swore in a newly appointed Minister and the Chairperson of the State’s Commission, marking an important change in the leadership of the State government. This appointment comes after a period of transition, during which the previous ministers were replaced.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Monday at the State Secretariat. During the event, Governor Jadallah Kamilo Wani emphasized the importance of teamwork and unity among the newly appointed ministers.
Jadalla urged the ministers to understand their roles and responsibilities, stressing the need to study the institutions they are set to lead.
“You have to understand your role or portfolio. Truly study the institution that you are going to lead; you are going to be responsible for it, for the policies of that institution, the challenges that you are going to face, and the key stakeholders in that institution. Build a strong relationship. Collaborate with your colleagues in the cabinet here to foster unity and share goals in the state.’’ Jadallah said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General for Administration at the National Secretariat, Mary Apayi, called on the new government to prioritize security as a foundation for lasting peace in Central Equatoria.
“Honourable Governor, we have to work very hard to really bring peace to our state; this is the capital state. When the capital state is not happy, people are not happy. Our people are suffering in the camps. Our people are suffering in the counties. Our role is to play so that we bring peace to our state. Peace is paramount for the people of Central Equatoria State.”
