The Governor of Central Equatoria State (CES), Emmanuel Adil Anthony, on Thursday officially assumed office at the State Government Secretariat in Juba, stepping into his duties with a strong pledge to restore stability and strengthen state institutions.
Adil’s resumption was met with a remarkable show of solidarity, as Deputy Governor Paulino Lukudu Obede led a high-level reception that included cabinet ministers, advisors, and senior staff of the Secretariat General.
The warm reception signaled a united front within the state leadership and growing expectations for a more energetic and responsive administration.
In his remarks at the reception, Adil underscored that his new term would be defined by deliberate efforts to curb insecurity, rebuild trust between government and citizens, and enhance the delivery of essential services.
He stressed that peace, unity, and accountability would guide every decision taken under his leadership.
Adil noted that Central Equatoria stands at a critical juncture where improved coordination among government structures is necessary to accelerate development and address long-standing challenges affecting communities.
Officials present expressed confidence that Adil’s renewed mandate would inject fresh discipline and focus into the state’s governance agenda.
