South Sudan beat Angola, to represent Africa at Paris Olypmics

South Sudan have qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics after beating Angola by a 23-point margin as Egypt narrowly lost to New Zealand in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The Bright Stars beat African counterparts 101 to 78 in the classification phase which will see victors participate in the 2024 Olympics in France.

South Sudan’s chance to become the only nation to represent the African continent in the upcoming Olympics was guaranteed after Egypt were beaten 88 to 86 by New Zealand.

It’s South Sudan’s second win after beating the Philippines 87 to 68 in the qualification for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

The Bright Stars are ranked the best-performing African team in the group stage.
