South Sudan’s President, Salva Kiir, on Friday met with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to discuss ways to boost infrastructure and agricultural investments and strengthen the two nations’ long-standing cooperation.

During the meeting, President Kiir underlined the important role that foreign investment plays in promoting sustainable development and furthering the nation’s economic objectives.

He highlighted the importance of collaboration with international partners, particularly the UAE, in realizing these objectives.

After the meeting, Chol Mawut, Minister of Presidential Affairs, stated that Kiir had directed the relevant ministries to make the technical preparations required for the planned, efficient, and timely implementation of the suggested initiatives.

He reaffirmed the parties’ shared commitment to developing a framework that promotes efficiency, investment, and sustainable practices in the sectors that are being targeted.

The meeting marks a significant step forward in the long-standing relationship between South Sudan and the UAE, setting the stage for future collaboration aimed at economic advancement and prosperity.
