Ambassador Mahlodi Moufhe Hails the South African Police Service Contingent Deployed to UNMISS

On Saturday, 26 September 2026,  the South African Police Service ( SAPS )contingent deployed to and attached to the United Nations Mission (UNMISS) by the South African Government received their medals for their peacebuilding efforts in South Sudan.

The South African Contingent Medal Pinning Ceremony 2026 was held at the UNMISS Headquarters in South Sudan. They flew the South African Government peace flag in South Sudan with dignity.

The South African Government, through its Embassy in South Sudan, is proud of the role the SAPS contingent is discharging for the people of South Sudan, according to Ambassador Mahlodi S. Muofhe
