Central Equatoria State Governor and SPLM State Chairperson, Cde. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has inaugurated a new SPLM County Secretariat office in Yei River County and concluded a two-day training programme for party cadres.

The activities took place on Tuesday during Governor Adil’s ongoing visit to Yei River County.

Addressing SPLM cadres, Governor Adil conveyed greetings and appreciation from SPLM Chairman, President Salva Kiir Mayardit, thanking party members and residents of Yei for what he described as their patience, resilience and continued commitment to the party.

Governor Adil urged SPLM members to prepare for the December elections, including the party’s internal primaries and selection processes, which are expected to begin at the Boma level.

He also called on party members to actively participate in voter registration and community mobilization while maintaining unity, peace and discipline.

The Governor cautioned party members against internal conflicts, emphasizing the need for cohesion as the country approaches the electoral period.

SPLM State Secretary Cde. Ann Kaku Samson confirmed the successful completion of the two-day cadres training, which focused on party ethics and mobilization strategies.

The SPLM Chairperson for Yei River County, Cde. Samuel Batali Malimbo, said the county is prepared for the upcoming elections. He noted that the party has endorsed Cde. Salva Kiir Mayardit as its flag bearer and expressed confidence in strong support for the SPLM.

The programme concluded with the SPLM Yei River County Disability League presenting a gift to Governor Adil as a gesture of appreciation.

The inauguration of the county secretariat and cadres training form part of the SPLM’s ongoing activities aimed at strengthening its structures and preparing party members for the forthcoming electoral process.
