President Kiir receives security updates from state leaders

South Sudan’s President, Salva Kiir, received security updates from three state governors on critical issues in their respective states on Monday.

The governors include Augustino Jadalla Wani, Governor of Central Equatoria State (CES), Odhok Oyay, governor of Upper Nile State, and Simon Uber Ajongo, the governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State (NBGS).

Governor Jadalla informed the President of the state’s current security condition, which includes inquiries into last year’s security incident in Wonduruba Administrative Payam and livestock migration to Central Equatoria.

Odhok Oyay, Governor of Upper Nile, updated the President on the security situation in Nasir County, assuring him that the overall security situation in the state is peaceful.

Meanwhile, Simon Uber Ajongo, Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal, briefed the President on the security situation in his state.

He apprised the President on a variety of development projects currently being carried out by the state administration to improve the region’s infrastructure and economy.

The governors’ briefings emphasized the government’s willingness to address security concerns while also ensuring development throughout the country.
